Project Overview
This Chelsea townhouse was fully refurbished to create a modern, elegant home with improved flow and bespoke features. The clients wanted to modernise the property while retaining its traditional character and period charm. The project included a complete strip-out, internal reconfiguration, and upgrades across every floor. With the owners living abroad during the project, Ager Build was entrusted to manage the entire transformation, delivering a home that now feels both elegant and timeless.
Our Solutions
The ground floor was reimagined as a light, open-plan living space, with a new solid oak kitchen and engineered flooring providing a warm yet contemporary finish. Bespoke carpentry added character and functionality, including a custom-built bed and tailored cupboards with drawers in the living room.
On the first floor, the layout was carefully reconfigured. An oversized airing cupboard was removed and replaced with a smaller version and additional wardrobes, freeing up valuable space to enlarge the bathroom. This was finished with a recessed basin area and curved-top mirror, clad in luxurious Fired Earth marble to balance modern comfort with traditional styling.
The second-floor bathroom was refreshed with new flooring, sanitaryware, and decoration, while across the home every room was fully re-plastered, redecorated, and rewired. New carpets and light fittings were installed throughout, and externally the rear decking was also renewed, completing the transformation.
The result is a modern yet characterful home, refurbished from top to bottom with thoughtful detail and trusted craftsmanship.
